Epic & Historic

Teegan & Mahatia

the design

At the stroke of midnight, on the first day that same sex couples could legally marry in Australia, Teegan and Mahatia were married by Marry Me Dee and The Altar Electric at Ferdydurke Bar in Melbourne.

The ceremony backdrop was made from dried white branches, hydrangea, thistle and artichoke. It needed to be seen in low neon lighting at midnight and complement the cool inner urban vibe!

The white branch and hydrangea crowns were a nod to the backdrop and emboldened the brides to rock their inner queens!

It was a momentous celebration of equal rights made possible by the donation of talent, product and time from the epic team of industry professionals listed below.

the love

"I am truly finding it hard to find the right words to thank the absolutely incredible team of vendors that selflessly and lovingly donated their epic talents to our wedding extravaganza. It's easy to forget sometimes that humans like these still exist but last night was proof. They are some of the best in the business; utterly professional and amazingly great at what they do, and each and every one of them supported us with the widest of open arms, as if we were old friends. We had such an incredible day and night yesterday, it was surreal, magical and wonderful. Thank you all a million times over."
